Frequently Asked Questions

Co-packing (contract packaging) is a service where an FMCG manufacturer hires a co-packer to package the manufacturer’s products. It includes processes such as bundling, labeling, shrink wrapping, and filling display stands. The service results in a retail-ready product, allowing companies to reduce costs and focus on core areas like manufacturing or sales. Simplified definition: Co-packing is a retail product packaging and labeling service.

The co-packing service cost depends on factors such as the type of product, the complexity of the packaging process and packaging requirements. Typical costs include packaging components (if your co-packer buys them for you), labour, warehousing (free of charge with us for regular orders!) and transport. For an accurate quote, we need more detailed information about your needs. Prices usually range from a few cents to a few dozen cents per packaged unit. We recommend a consultation with our representative.

Taking care of product packaging on your own means that you need to organise the necessary space, purchase machinery, implement effective processes for hiring and training staff and acquire extensive product packaging knowledge (to avoid costly mistakes). Due to the scale of the operation and specialisation in the relevant processes, an experienced co-packer can work much more efficiently and make less mistakes, which translates into lower costs. We also know from our customers that outsourcing packaging allows you to focus on areas more relevant to your business, and this means faster growth.

Yes, we have been involved in corporate co-packing for many years and understand the requirements of large companies. Our customers, for whom we have been packaging goods, labeling products, or bundling for many years, include renowned global brands such as NIVEA and Twinings. To meet the requirements of such companies, we hold ISO (9001, 14001, 22000), GMP, HACCP, and Organic certifications, among others. We also have 5 500 m2 of storage space, more than 130 employees, and an extensive machinery park.

Be sure to contact us if you have a relatively small amount of goods to package, be it because you are a start-up or you do not have enough capacity of your own. We would be pleased to take the opportunity to present our capabilities and convince you to cooperate with Transpak or to the general concept of co-packing. Our customers include many companies that began with lower quantities and then decided to outsource packaging on a larger scale. It has also often been the case that our customers’ businesses grew during our long-term cooperation, and as a result, they increased their orders naturally.

We specialise in FMCG product co-packing, including food. We package products such as teas, coffees, spices, sweets, instant food, drinks, pet food, cleaning products, cosmetics and nutritional supplements. We can package or label almost anything in the FMCG sector. We are able to package in cartons, bags, pouches, stands, doypacks, sachets, jars, cosmetics bags, boxes, crates, baskets and many other types of packaging.

Yes, we offer both options. We have an extensive machinery park that enables us to package big batches of products quickly and accurately. We’ve also got trained and efficient employees who specialise in manual packaging and labelling. This option is particularly popular with customers who have a non-standard product, which makes automated packaging impossible or would require a huge investment in appropriate machinery.

As mentioned above, yes, we employ a large team of people, specialising in manual packaging. If you have a non-standard product that cannot be easily packaged or labelled automatically, and you don’t feel like hiring new people to do it, then consider outsourcing this process to us. Feel free to contact us for a free consultation!

We have the following certifications: ISO (9001, 14001, 22000), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) and Organic. They are vital to us because they certify the quality of our processes, make it easier for our customers to meet the requirements of retail chains (especially regarding food) and ensure compliance with their internal requirements and procedures. View our certifications here.

Our representatives know virtually everything there is to know about packaging and co-packing. We encourage you to book a free consultation with our experts, as in the past they have repeatedly been able to advise against options that would have generated problems and extra costs in the future. They are able to identify and recommend solutions that will meet clients’ objectives, while being cost-efficient and easy to handle at the same time. We would be delighted to learn more about your needs and we look forward to presenting you with the best solutions, including explaining how they will translate into concrete benefits for your business.
